ABOUT
Hi, I’m Jorie Jacobi.
My one-hour drama pilot “I’ll Miss You Most of All” was selected as a second rounder at the Austin Film Festival Screenplay competition in 2022 and in 2021 as a short. More on my screenwriting projects here. Find me on Coverfly here.
I ran print and digital editorial operations for ALIVE Magazine, a premier Midwest arts and culture publication where I interviewed filmmakers, writers, musicians, and artists like Karyn Kusama (Jennifer’s Body, Aeon Flux, Destroyer), T-Bone Burnett (musician, toured with Bob Dylan), John Oates of Hall & Oates, and more.
I most recently honed my knack for all things branded storytelling as director of strategic communications at Washington University in St. Louis’ School of Law.
I have also had the pleasure of interviewing St. Louis natives crushing it in the entertainment industry, including “House of Cards” creator Beau Willimon and renaissance woman Stephanie Sanditz.
I wrote a longform narrative retelling of the shooting of Michael Brown in 2015.
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2011 with a degree in English literature and painting, determined to be perpetually unemployed from a young age. Though art school was a breeding ground for the irreverent and hilarious.
